Anna Maria Island Newborn Photographer | In Home and Beach LIfestyle Newborn photo session

I am so happy to be able to document newborns again in the comfort of client’s homes. For extra precautions, I still take Covid tests prior to meeting and wear a mask while indoors, but, relaxing with families in the comfort of their homes is my favorite. This family happens to be a couple blocks from my favorite beach on Anna Maria Island, so we had the bonus of getting to the beach at sunset, too. That does take some extra planning with a newborn, and last minute rearranging in the summer when the weather clears, but those family pictures on the beach, SOOOOOOOO worth it. We had the most lovely sunset and embraced the wind, while keeping baby girl safe and sound. She didn’t want to sleep much during her session but I bet after a few moments at the beach in the fresh air she slept like a dream that night.

During a full newborn session you have at least two hours. I am not one to show up and just leave if your time is up, so we had plenty of time during their full newborns session to document it all. That meant we had time for big brother to play a bit, feed their fish, show me his scooter and just be a kid while we focused on this sweet little newborn girl that had just been introduced to him a few days earlier! I never want parents to feel rushed at a session! I want time to focus on everyone in the family.

Lastly, make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom to see a few of my favorite images on film from the session, too. You can always add a roll of film to your session to increase the overall number of images in your gallery as well as digital negatives, too! Ask me how when you book your next session.

I loved seeing “big brother” warm up to me and the camera. These blakc and white images really tell the story. Often, babies need time for feeding, or eveyrone just needs a break from being “on.” Moreso, those moments in-between are often my favorites.

I love these sibling shots and that you can se mom’s hands safely holding baby and helping her toddler relax with his brand new sister, too. Safety and baby led poses are really all I will do during our time together. I love the simple basket poses with a parent right there for safe keeping. Plus, baby bunny will be fun to see as this sweet girl grows, too!

Pets always welcome for your sessions! This guy was so sweet and excited for his close up!j

I really think the images below the happiest place for baby to be is in their parents arms, right?

These last few images are all film and just have my heart. I love the nostagic, slightly imperfect feeling of these film pictures so much!

Are you expecting? Now is the time to start planning your maternity or newborn photo session. I am taking one more newborn client for both November and early December 2022 at this time.
