Another spring photo session in Kiley Garden with the most magical sunset. I am such a lucky photographer to get not only great families to photograph but these sunsets, wow! This view, this location and this family all came together for a beautiful spring family photo session in Tampa. I am always glad when families come back to let me document them. Even if it is every couple of years. I cannot believe how much this sweet family has changed since I saw them last. They are still so sweet and fun to photograph. You know you are having a great night of family photos when we ended up hanging out together longer than anticipated. I guess that is a benefit of a spring session with perfect weather and not during the crazy fall family photo session schedule. Things are just a bit more relaxed for me this time of year and I am not complaing one little bit.

I love a change of season for family photo updates because it means you can find different colors to make you pop against your photo location, too. Their happy spring inspired outfits worked perfectly in this urban oasis. The city was all around and we used it for some of the photos, but the palm trees and flower beds really made us feel like we were in full spring mode, too. If you have not done a session in the city yet, this Tampa photo location is great. There isn’t a closeness to the street that would make it hard to do family photos here with littles. It does require a bit of walking with parking lot access a bit down the road though. So if you have family with little legs, probably best to bring a stroller. Otherwise, just plan on walking a bit if you decide Kiley Garden is the next photo location for you.

The shot above, I call the “album cover” shot and it is so fun to do with families. Even if kids don’t know what an “album” is most of the time. I let everyone know this is the time to bring out their innner rock star and pose how they want. It is always fun to see a bit of everyone’s personality shine through! Do you have a favorite “go to family pose” for your own family or as a photographer? I would love to hear about it, just drop a comment below!
